How I work
here's how I work

Every project starts with a conversation and ends with something that is truly yours.
01
Brief & Quote
Discussion regarding your requirements and image usage, followed by the establishment of the contract.
02
Creative Proposal
Submission of a proposal to validate the layout and creative direction.
03
Revisions & Approval
We refine until the result is just right, within the number of revisions included in the quote.
04
Delivery & Balance
Final files delivered and ready to use upon receipt of the balance payment.
Graphic designer before illustrator
A recognisable style, never interchangeable
You're not commissioning a generic illustration, but something that will look like no one else but you
A collaboration, not just a commission
I know the constraints of both print and digital, which avoids any nasty surprises at the production stage
Why work with me?
What makes the difference isn't just the style, it's the way of working
I like projects where we build something together, not just deliver a file
All you need to know
It all depends on the complexity of the project. Generally speaking, allow 1 to 2 weeks for a simple illustration, and longer for a more ambitious project. Timeframes are always specified in the quote.
Payment is split into two instalments: 50% deposit upon signing the quote, which officially kicks off the project, and 50% balance upon delivery of the final files. I work by bank transfer. No final files are delivered before full payment has been received.
A rights assignment is included in the quote, tailored to the intended use (publishing, web, packaging, etc.). We define this together from the brief.
Yes, and it's actually one of my favourite formats. A long-term collaboration (monthly retainer) allows you to book a set number of hours or illustrations each month, with a visual consistency that builds over time. It's ideal for brands with regular illustrated content needs. Get in touch so we can discuss a format that works for you.
Yes, absolutely. I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand, and all my clients are in Europe (mainly France) and around the world. All communication takes place by email or WhatsApp, and files are delivered via download link or Drive. The time difference (+12 hours from Paris) is managed with clear response times, generally within 24 working hours.
I work while you sleep — your projects are ready when you wake up!
Both. Whether it's a personal project or a brand collaboration, every project is approached with the same care and attention. Family portraits, pets, invitations, personalised gifts — commissions from individuals make up a good part of my work and I value them greatly.
Yes, depending on availability and the nature of the project. A complex project cannot be delivered in two days.
But for tight deadlines, we can discuss it. A rush fee applies on top of the base rate.
Spec work is when a creative is asked to work for free — often in the form of a "test" or a competition, with no guarantee of payment. I don't do it, because creative work has value. Every project, even an exploratory one, deserves a proper framework and fair compensation.
